Chili Garlic Cecamariti

This unique yeasted pasta is a quick weekday meal and one of my go to's. I tend to make bread on the weekends and set aside some of the dough in the fridge to be able to make these during the week. The pasta is similar to a dumpling and takes on the flavor of the bread dough that is used.

Check out our cecamariti recipe here! Another excellent way to make these is to sauté them in butter.

Description

Homemade yeasted pasta cecamariti  with a chili garlic oil sauce.

Ingredients
  • 1 Batch cecamariti (Link in description)
  • 4 clove Garlic (Thinly sliced)
  • 1 dash Chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
  1. Prepare the pasta

Bring a large pot of well salted water to a boil. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat and add the sliced garlic and crushed pepper flakes. Gently cook the garlic being careful not to over brown it.

Place the pasta in the water and cook for 3 minutes. It is finished when it floats.

Toss in the olive oil and serve with grated cheese.

You can toss them in oil briefly or fry them for a bit if you like them browned.
