With summer around the corner everyone needs a quick grilled pork chop recipe, and this one does not disappoint! It is super quick to prepare and equally delicious. I personally think a bone-in pork chop is the perfect chop to grill, but this will also work with boneless.
There are many bacon jam recipes out there which take hours to make. This is my quick version that cooks as fast as the pork, making it doable for a quick weekday meal.
This pork pairs beautifully with our jalapeño cheddar polenta!
Grilled Pork Chop with Bacon Jam
Description
Grilled and savory bone-in pork chop served with a salty and savory bacon jam.
Ingredients
Pork Chops
Bacon Jam
Instructions
Bacon Jam
-
Prepare the bacon jam
Thinly slice the bacon and add to a cold small saucepan. Turn the head to medium and add olive oil and chopped onion. Cook for around 15 minutes or until bacon starts to crisp and onions are caramelized. Drizzle in the balsamic vinegar. Cook for another 5 minutes.
-
Grill the Pork
Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce on the pork and generously season with salt and pepper. Transfer the pork to a preheated grilling pan or grill on high. Cook each side for 10 minutes, rotating 90 degrees after 5 minutes. The pork is done with an internal temperature is 145.
Remove from the grill and let rest for at least 5 minutes before serving. Top with 1-2 tablespoons of the bacon jam.
Let the pork come up to room temperature before grilling. This will ensure it cooks evenly.
