This balsamic honey glazed salmon recipe is sweet, tangy, fruity and balanced with oregano to make it savory. It is quick to make for a weekday and equally impressive for a gathering.
You can use this same recipe and technique for individual salmon filets or larger cuts by adjusting the time.
With just a few ingredients it is important to get the highest quality you can afford. That goes for the salmon and balsamic vinegar as well. You can take this recipe to the next level by using Giuseppe Giusti 2 Gold Medals Balsamic vinegar or a similar quality. (This is the one I used). You just want to avoid the something too cheap as it will just be acidic without the fruitiness and rounded flavor.

Ingredients
Instructions
-
Bake the glaze
In a saucepan combine the balsamic vinegar, honey and oregano. Mix and stir on low heat until it reduces to a thick glaze, around 3 minutes.

Make sure the salmon is close to room temperature. Check it after 6 minutes as cooking time varies based on size and thickness. -
Glaze the salmon
Once cooked, brush or pour the glaze on the salmon and place under the broiler for 2 minutes.
Let rest for a couple minutes and serve.
