One of the most refreshing summer drinks is the Lime Sour that was popularized by Chapman’s Drugs in Hapeville Georgia. The combination of carbonated water, lime and a pinch of salt truly makes this a refreshing and cooling summer drink.
For the crushed ice I often use KitchenAid Shave Ice attachment. However, any crushed or shave ice works. If I do not feel like getting out the attachment I put ice in a large ziplock bag and beat it with a heave rolling pin until the ice is thin.

Build the lime sour
In a large glass, fill 3/4 with crushed ice. Squeeze over 2 limes. Sprinkle in a small pinch of salt then top with soda water or mineral water.
The quantities are guidelines and may need to be adjusted based on the juiciness of your limes.
